    Location

Air conditioning did not work in first room. Was moved to another room with air con. Hotel was totally overbooked so some missed rooms

  • Group of friends

The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was in a very good, quiet location, with easy access to the tram, and near several of the museums. A pleasant courtyard and small garden.

The quality of the breakfast was rather basic, and the only fruit on offer was oranges. The fruit juices were very watery. Although the bedroom and bathroom were clean, the walls of the bedroom are badly in need of a coat of paint. The lobby also needs freshening up. Some of the towels and sheets were very worn, with holes in them. The TV in the room was old, and the remote control erratic. We were there for four nights but the bedding was only changed once - after the third night.

Hotel needs up dating and painting.Skeleton staff trying to do everything. Bar is drab which couples as dining area for breakfast. Photos of the hotel on the web site are bright and modern looking while the hotel is the opposite.Breakfast lacks variety. Individual members were kind and helpful but as I said very few staff trying to do everything.

Staff very friendly, very comfy beds, felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay! Great loction, short walk into town but also trams at the end of the road that take you anywere, great! Thank you very much. I would stay there again :)

comfortable and location ideal for us as we were visiting family nearby and also wanted to be near the concertgebouw and Amsterdam centre. Breakfast very good!

The decorations are looking a bit tired and outdated (though our room was comfortable) and the shower door was inadequate for keeping the water in the shower

Location to tram was very good. Great breakfast, Friendly staff. On main tram route to area attractions.

Kinda expensive for a basic hotel. The bed were very unconfortable - meaning sore neck and back in the morning, not great when you plan on walking all day - breakfast is basic/average too. Every single hotel was booked when de looked so I guess it was not the worst option. Would prolly not stay again at this hotel bc of the price

The location was excellent for me - in a quiet, up-market area, a reasonable walk to the RAI Centre. However, it is quite a long way from the tourist attractions, apart from the Rijksmuseum and the Concertgebouw that are both close by. In fairness, the public transport system in the city is great.

At 65 euros a night, this hotel would be acceptable but I was charged 165 euros, which was demanded on check-in (not surprisingly given that many people would walk out when shown the room). It was probably the worst value room that I have ever had. I was given a small, single room that was none too clean, furnished in the cheapest possible way and had a bathroom that was so small that the wash-hand basin was in the 'lobby' area just inside the room door. The breakfast too was the bare minimum of the cheapest ingredients. The public areas were extremely dingy and I had to wait to check in, while the receptionist doubled as barman. This would be understandable in a small, family-run hotel in the country but not in what claims to be a 3-star hotel in a major European city and certainly not at this price, which I subsequently discovered was far more than colleagues were paying at far better places.

We liked the soft beds and quilts and nice size room

Could do with some update and decoration and less clutter of lamps and mirrors. Would have been nice to be able to have hot drink in the room. Breakfest room was small, food run out.

The location was good ; with shops and bars near by. Easy access to the tram system of Amsterdam (nearesr metro stop is 3 mins walk from the Hotel). The prices were reasonable according to the location of the hotel itself.

I could hear some of the noises from outside; specially the bell from the Church which broke my sleep 2-3 times in the night.

  • Couple
    7.4

The place was clean and easily accessible with the tram from the center (3 tram lines nearby - #2,5,16). The variety of the breakfast was good with English breakfast and croissants with honey, jam, nut cream. Hotel was quiet cheap for Amsterdam standards but not for European standards.

The quality of the breakfast wasn't the best (cheap juices, croissants...). The bar is quiet expensive with cheap alcohol brands from probably lidl or aldi. I also wish the towels were changed everyday, as it happens in other hotels were you pay also less money.

  • Couple

Lack of variety of food during breakfast. Some faulty wires.

  • Group of friends

Postion of the hotel. Good area and close to Amsterdam city center.

Staff was not friendly. Booked 3 double bedrooms but one room was of a single size. Breakfast was poor. We were not always given new towels and even teared. Rooms were not cleaned properly.

  • Group of friends
    7.4

Breakfast - OK, really good price/location for ofered services. Everything really close to the hotel.

  • Couple
    5.0

    Good location Cheap

The "full" English breakfast only consisted of hotdog sausage, scrambled egg and fatty bacon. The initial room we were in had not been cleaned and when we complained the man on reception did not believe us. He did however then swap our room for a clean one.
